Clio 182 020

Renaultsport engineers have taken what was regarded by many experts to be one of the world’s best ever hot hatches and made it even hotter.

Famous for its explosive performance and razor sharp handling, the new Renaultsport Clio 182 takes the game to a completely new level. A level that other hatches can only dream about.

The most obvious improvement is a boost from 172 bhp (124kw) to 182 bhp (131kw), but that’s not where the story ends. A revised exhaust system with two pipes that stick out with intent from the rear bumper and numerous suspension enhancements provide unbelievable levels of grip, poise and performance.

If you’re familiar with, or heard about the legendary performance, comfort, safety and value for money of previous Renaultsport Clio, the new ‘182’ will truly astonish you.

A new legend is born.

The new Renaultsport Clio 182 is the perfect combination of high performance and exceptionally high levels of comfort. The 2.0-litre 16 valve engine develops its maximum of 182 hp (131kw) at 6200 rpm thanks to careful tuning of the induction system and cylinder head, and its free flowing exhaust. The engine is coupled to a five-speed close-ratio gearbox that optimises torque at low revs. It’s a combination that is ready to propel you from zero to 100kmh in just 6.9 seconds.

The power under the bonnet is visible from the outside too, the unique alloy wheels, the purposeful front air-intake, the lowered suspension and, of course, the twin exhausts convey what this machine is capable of.

Cup Suspension

For the first time on the Renault Sport Clio programme, the option of a sportier chassis is offered to more enthusiastic drivers: the Cup suspension.

The Cup suspension has even more incisive behaviour for enthusiasts who seek driving pleasure both in everyday use and on tracks. This option is characterised by spring rates stiffened by a further 20% at the front and 15% at the rear, a revised steering geometry, together with a ride height lowered by 3mm.

The Cup version features also distinctive charcoal alloy wheels.
